Project overview
Founder Julia Wheatley has a strong and simple belief that clothes are made to be lived in. Her billowing, elegant creations are crafted by master artisans in West Bengal, and inspired by historical and workwear garments.
The product descriptions needed to express that idea, helping Julia’s ideal customers imagine wearing the clothes in their own lives. The brief combined evocative storytelling about everyday wear with practical information customers needed to choose the right pieces for them.

I rewrote and refined 25 product descriptions over two collections, bringing together brand storytelling, practical product information and relevant SEO keywords.
I used everyday scenarios that would resonate with Julia’s ideal customers, helping them picture when they might reach for each garment and how they could wear it. The aim was to bring the clothes to life through situations that felt familiar to the people buying them.
I also included the details customers needed to make a choice: sizing, available colourways, materials, fabric characteristics and care instructions.
Looking for the right words? I’d love to write them for you.
