Project overview
Sorbet Living is an independent homewares brand founded by Debbie Gent. Its seasonal collections bring together pieces from skilled makers, with an appreciation for craft and the small pleasures of everyday life.
Across a series of seasonal campaigns, I worked with Debbie to give her collection themes a story and a language the team could use across social media, emails, and the journal. From summer gatherings to winter traditions, the work explored how Sorbet Living’s pieces become part of the way we live.
Winter: made to mean more
For the festive season, I explored the relationship between objects, memories and traditions. The decorations brought out every December. A favourite mug reserved for hot chocolate. A blanket that becomes part of the family story.
Messaging such as “To traditions old and new” and “Made to mean more” gave the collection an emotional thread, celebrating both the rituals we inherit and those we begin ourselves.
The storytelling helped place each piece within someone’s life, whether as a thoughtful gift or something they would return to year after year.
Summer: the art of gathering
The summer story centred on the table: unhurried meals, shared plates and gatherings that lingered under open skies.
I developed messaging options including “Crafted for connection” and “Stories unfold where we gather”, connecting the care behind Sorbet Living’s homewares to the pleasure of bringing people together.
Linens, handmade ceramics and thoughtful table details became part of a story customers could picture themselves in.

Debbie set the theme for each collection. Working from her brief and moodboards, I drew out ideas that connected the products and visual direction to the experiences of Sorbet Living’s customers.
To carry the seasonal stories into the journal, I developed content pillars around makers, seasonal living, hosting, food and everyday rituals. These gave the team a range of subjects to explore, from artisan profiles to recipes and table-setting inspiration.
I also helped develop an SEO blog template, providing a repeatable structure for future posts. The aim was to support search visibility while keeping the writing useful, engaging and recognisably Sorbet Living.
